Welcome to The Farm

Belted Galloway

The Belted Galloway is a rare breed of cattle originating from the Galloway region of Scotland. The breed have adapted to living on poor upland pastures and windswept moorland making them perfect for our farm

Our growing herd of Belted Galloway can often be seen grazing in our rougher intakes something which they thrive on and allows us to utilise all our land efficiently. We have a range of colours from black, red and dun with their white belts around their middles this make them stand out to passers by and in bleak winters in bad weather.

Shires

A breed of draught horse originally from England. The Shire has a great capacity for weight-pulling; it was used for farm work, to tow barges at a time when the canal system was the principal means of goods transport, and as a cart-horse for road transport.

Katrinas passion for horses developed into breeding and with this came the change of breeding warmbloods to the shires and Shire sport horses. More Information can be found on the Shires page
